We neither issue cards nor run courses, and prices are not set by us. Each page names the course companies and health departments that supply the cards.

The source of each state rule is the health department page of that state or county, or, if the state publishes none, a course company's state requirements page. On each state page the rule is quoted word for word, with a link to the page it came from.

The price listed by the course company on its own page for that state is the one shown. At least once every three months, we recheck each rule and every price.

When a course is bought through an affiliate link, the course company may pay us a small fee. Some links to course companies work this way. What you pay does not change. No payment ever reaches us from links to official state and county programs. A fee never affects which courses are listed or their order: courses are sorted by price.

If you have a question about a test, a course, or a lost card, ask whoever issued it: for an online card, the course company; for a state or county card, the health department. Your records sit with them, and they can usually answer on the day you ask. You will find links to both on every state page, and the card lookup tells you where each of the main issuers stores its cards.
